[6] Rhapsody Developer Release Reviews

If you haven't had time to try out the Rhapsody Developer Release yet, read what others have to say about this operating system's capabilities in recent product reviews published in PC Week and the Sydney Morning Herald.

In the November 5 issue of PC Week, Peter Coffee said, "In tests of the prerelease Rhapsody DR1 on a PowerPC-based evaluation system furnished by Apple, PC Week Labs found that Rhapsody's application development facilities live up to the promises that Apple has been making since its acquisition of NeXT Computer Inc. We were able to work with Rhapsody's object-oriented tools to assemble predefined application components and services, and build capable applications with a minimum of new code."

In the November 11 edition of the Sydney Morning Herald, Garry Barker wrote, "Whoever coined the phrase, 'I have seen the future, and it works,' could have been talking about Rhapsody, the all-swinging operating system that promises to open some extraordinary new doors for the Macintosh and for Apple."
